The lure of the Iberian Peninsula is never far from my thoughts so I have decided to explore further. Here's a map of the intended trip which will begin with a flight to Barcelona on 19th Feb.
The longest leg will be across to Madrid where such places as Toledo and Segovia are easily reached with day trips from Spain's capital. Then it's on to the historic city of Salamanca. Portugal will then be the next stop, probably to Porto where, like all the other stops, hostel prices are reasonable. Lisbon once again will of course be a pleasure, and then the flight back 11th March.
The weather there should be somewhat warmer than here in the centre of Europe, but we shall see.
